Nino Salukvadze — A Legendary Shooter With Ten Olympics of Experience

Nino Salukvadze is one of the most remarkable names in Georgian sport — she has competed in shooting at ten consecutive Olympics, starting with Seoul in 1988. Her career includes three Olympic medals — gold and silver in 1988, and bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics as part of the Georgian team. Salukvadze is the only Georgian athlete to have won a medal of every color at the Olympics, and at the 2016 Rio Olympics, she and her son, Tsotne Machavariani, became the first mother-son pair to compete together at the Games.
